I have an old Ultra-500P 500W power supply laying around and wanted to know if it should run the following new system I want to
build. It would save me some money if it will work.

ASUS P6t x58
i7 2.6
3GB ram
ATI 4850 (maybe in SLI)
2 1TB drives running in RAID
TV Tuner card
Bluray reader
Pioneer DVD Burner

If you are straining a supply does it just die or can it damage your components. I'm guessing
I need a new one but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this config.
