Hi, I have been lurking the board for awhile now and I have been piecing together information. I think im ready to put my system together so please let me know what you think:

What I have:
CD-RW and all Externals
Antec 900 Case
Tunniq Tower 120 Cooler
X-Fi sound card
500W pc power and cooling silencer -- will this be enough to power a 4850? I'm going to be keeping my old comp but was hoping to take this ps over into the new build then buy a cheap one for it... is that feasible?

Pieces I'm looking at:
Asus P5Q Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 -- I want to get this for now then possibly upgrade to a Q9550 or something like that when quad core is a little more relevant... sound like a good idea?
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
2x Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
I want a 4850 for sure, if you guys could help me sort out what brand I would appreciate it, I don't have much experience with video cards...

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give.

All good ideas including moving that quality power supply with you.(it's fine for a 4850) I usually try to get DDR2 800 RAM with low latencies that runs at stock 1.8 volts. In the future when you need a quad core for specific applications or games they should be cheaper and you can just pop one in to replace the E8500 (only running +20$ than the E8400) Of all the ATI brands i like Visiontek for their warranty and site support.

Thanks a lot for looking that over for me. I will upgrade the processor for to e8500 for sure. Can anyone point me of the direction of some good ram for the P5Q? and what is the benefit of the ram running at a lower stock voltage?
