Hello all, this is my first post on this forum but I have been reading for a few weeks trying to learn as much as I can about hardware because I am preparing to build my first PC. I have selected some items that I would like to use, and I wanted to know if there are any glaring defects with my choices, especially considering the 380w PSU, as I'm not sure what I should choose when it comes to that with regard to my system components. Any help, advice, comments are welcome!

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53ghz [newegg]

MOBO: ASUS P5K PRO [newegg]

GPU: EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB [newegg]

Memory: A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 [newegg]

HD: Seagate 250gb 7200rpm SATA 3.0gb/sec [newegg]

Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 [newegg]

PSU: Antec Earthwatts 380w ATX 12v [newegg]

they want 400 watts for the vid card, so you probably would be OK, but I'd step up to the 430w version

I would step up to this P45 motherboard instead of the P35 you had listed, Asus P5Q $105 still has raid

I agree with groo about the 430w

Newb question here, but the P5Q listed above has a FSB of 1600/1333, and the E7200's FSB is 1066. Do these not have to match up exactly? Does that mobo's FSB just have to be >=?

they are just saving space
on Asus' product page it also lists 1066 and 800
