Blue Screen when I insert a video CD

Hello, Every time I insert a DVD or disc containing video, I get blue screened. If I uninstall the CD driver then restart, it works fine for one disc then each subsequent disc results in the blue screen. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I'm running XP on a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. This has started happening recently following a complete system re-install after a virus.

after you re-installed windows, did you go to the dell website and download the dell download manager?
Then, find your make and model on the dell website, and download and install all the latest drivers for your computer.
Your anti virus should be turned off when loading the latest drivers. Then restart and turn the antivirus back on.
