Hello,

Why does the Remote Access Connection Manager start on my system, when I have no need for this service? I have the start type set to manual, but something is requiring it to start up.

Yes, I know the easy solution is to just disable the service and go get a beer. But I would like to know why it is starting and disable it at that source. I know I don't need the service because when I physically disabled it, everything still runs fine on my computer.

Some old network/system/setting/configuration is tell it to start up and I would like to kill it at the source.

Thanks

Thanks! I checked the startup folder and the only thing there is "Microsoft Office".

I also checked with "msconfig" and it is not being started there either.

I believe windows is reading some sort of network configuration and says that I need it, so it starts it. But this is just a guess on my part.
