Hey guys, quick question!

I have a 64 bit processor (4 cores AMD) but only xp32, i can get windows 7 (x64) but i'd have to wait a few days, will it make any difference?

Thanks a lot guys!

If you are using 4 gigs of ram or less, Windows XP32 is the best for compatibility with most programs, and a little bit faster than Windows7.

If you have more than 4 gigs, a 64 bit OS Win7, XP64, etc... would be necessary to take advantage of the extra ram.

Windows 7 is a bit better, but it may not run your printer, camera, etc.
There is for sure an advantage to using 64 bit OS on a 64 bit processor. And if you have a student (college e mail address) you can buy 7 professional from digital river for about $40.
4 GB RAM is fine for win 7.
