I was looking at this one

But there are some things i dont know (because i dont know much about monitors)

1. Is 16:9 or 16:10 Better for gaming

2. What is DVI ( i googled it but most of the answers were too complicated :( )

3. What gaming Monitor Do you recommend. ( no bigger than 24" )

Thanks for your help :hello:

I'm going with 16:10 - 16:9 is a bit too small. Most 22 and 24 inches are 16:10.

DVI uses digital signal while vga uses analog. Best to use DVI.

I'd recommend Samsung as they have good response time. For 24" both Samsung and BenQ are good for gaming.

Btw, the ultrasharp series is an IPS panel - its bad for gaming as it has input lag.

Why?
Because it's a 22" monitor with a high quality S-PVA panel, DVI input and WUXGA resolution(1920x1200).

Praised on many reviews across the web, if you can afford it, get it.

*Edit* Eeek... not available on provantage anymore.
I is a bit rare, and with the upcoming holiday season it will probably be impossible to find. Sigh.

Personnaly I prefer Samsung, although there are some idiots out there that complain because the Bezel is shiny. BTW I have a 26" Samsung at 19 by 12

I'm very happy with my LG Flatron.

although as evilshuriken says, the higher resolution is worth looking for.
smaller pixels= less aliasing.

1. 16:10 would be it more widely supported in games

2.DVI is digital connection it will be cleaner and crisper picture.

3. I would suggest a TN panel if you are picky about input lag and response, as long as you are sitting directly infront of them and not doing image work they are great, cheaper too...

Dell as a 24" TN panel, looks good with decent reviews. e248n or something...
