I can successfully hotsync my CLie using kpilot or jpilot under
SuSE 9.2, for some values of "successful". Most of the data
appears to be there, but some addresses are missing from the
version stored and viewable in kpilot or j-pilot. Worse, certain
categories have been eliminated on the handheld *itself*. So
far as I can tell no addresses are missing off of the handheld,
but many have been changed to "unfiled".

Not really an answer but information nevertheless. I dual-boot WinXP
and Mandrake Linux 10.1 (my laptop in on Mandrake 9.2 but I haven't
checked it with my Palm). I use Kpilot with no lost records (so far).
Address book remains okay too. I am using a Palmone Zire 21.
