Ok, can someone clear this with me. Does the 4800 have build in hi-def sound like those xifi sound card sound blasters?

On the website, it always advertises this kinda stuff, "HDMI - Enjoy the latest audio technologies using HDMI with 7.1 digital surround sound support"

Does that mean I get to use my gpu as a sound card too? Theres no head phone jack though, how would I use it?

If anyone can clear it that would be great. thanks

Aduio out is only via HDMI as a digital signal, no OPAmps & DACs, therefore no headphone out or microhpone in, therfore, unless you're only sending your audio to an HDMI amp, you can't use it for sound.

But if your not using HDMI; then no sound for you :)
