i7 Price Drop

The i7 is fairly new so there probably won't be any price drops anytime soon, but when do you guys think it will happen? I was just starting to think about creating a new build for gaming, but using the i7 would be out of my budget. I also don't want to upgrade to something that will be obsolete within a year. (Intel probably won't be releasing anymore CPUs for that socket)

I don't see a price drop happening anytime soon, and Intel has stated that it will continue to support socket 1366 for quite a while, so that worry is somewhat unfounded.

These 3 i7's that have been recently released are the new cream of the crop... there will not be price drops until there is something faster out there... I assume this will be about the time they goto 32nm which is a long ways off.

If you dont have a big budget you would be best buying a good c2d system now.
