I've been learning tons from this forum and am astounded by the insight.

You needed a DVD reader and a separate burner?

I was trying to make it a one step process to "back up" a DVD. Disc to disc.

having two dvd drives is actually useful on occasion. plus, they cost next to nothing so why not add a second one if you're not on an extremely tight budget.

Good build! Wait a minute wait a minute! i just have to point some out .....something ........... ummm i use Tuniq TX-2 thermal compound ! yeah that's the ticket !

Make sure at least one optical disc is Retail from Newegg like the DVD Burner so you get good burning software like Nero.

Possibly replace a core 2 quad with a higher frequency core 2 duo if gaming is your main objective.

Get the Antec P182 vs P180, the 182 has much better wire management, etc.

umm maybe some of that OCZ RAM from tigerdirect at the moment? $60 :) im personally going for the ReaperX which is a steal at $100 imo and personally i would get the CM-690 instead of that case but yeah it's up to you imo.
