Ok, I've gotten myself a Rampage II, and my problem is:

When I try to lock down the CPU with the bracket, It requires a very large amount of force to do so, and I'm quite terrified that i'll destroy the mobo and my proc. Did anybody encounter the same thing-or do you think the mobo bracket is faulty?

Thanks in advance :)

idiot... eww

do yourself a favour and learn how to read.

As for the mounting of your CPU, it does require a somewhat large amount of force.

Pushpins can be tricky. It's normal to have to use a lot of force to get it to work, but most boards can handle it as long as you have plenty of support behind it.

it sounds like you're talking about the lever for the LGA-1366 socket.
that things got to make compressive contact with about 1366 pins.
that takes some force.

it sounds like you're talking about the LGA-1366 socket, not the
heat s1nk.

I have the P6T, and I thought the same thing. I was so paranoid I was going to break a pin. But here I am reading THG on my i7.
