Hey guys, ive been having a bit of trouble with this windows experience index thing. I recently had my hard drive replaced with an identical model, and my memory (or RAM) windows experience rating dropped from 5.4 to 4.8. I was wondering if the new hard drive has somehow messed with the RAM timings.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't bother with the Vista ratings. Try running a real benchmark.

Why not set your memory timings back to SPD, i.e., 5-5-5-15 instead of 5-5-5-31 and see if it helps?
