Alright, I have a decient amount of computer experience, but I'm just now getting to were I really am understanding stuff. I still have a quick question though, how much does cache size in a processor effect speed? I have two Athlon 64 X2 processors:
-5400+ Brisbane 2.8GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 65W black edition
-6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache 125W

I have MSI DKA790GX, so I'll have no problems clocking the black addition to 3.2 or more. My question is how much does the cache effect the speed? Even though the black edition will be "faster," it'll have a smaller cache.

Thanks alot. That was very helpful. I guess even though the new Brisbane processors are a tiny bit slower, the fact I can over clock it possibly to 3.4 means the 5800 would probably be better.
