How to install a driver in safe mode

I am uable to connect my samsung intercept SPH-M910 to my laptop. I have downloaded the drivers but they still dont work. It says it is installed correctly one minute and unidentified the next. Dont get a usb symbol on the phone cant see the phone in my Device Manager. Samsung told me to try loading driver in safe mode. How do I do this?

How to get to Safe Mode? Boot up the PC, hit F8 a few times after the BIOS loads up, select Safe Mode (probably With Networking will work best). You may also want to try a second USB port and cable to rule out any issues with those.

Thanks for your response, maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I'm in safe mode it is a command line only. How do I run the driver from there?

You selected Command Prompt safe mode. Reboot and select Safe Mode with Networking.
