Hello,
Have both Internet Explorer and Firefox on board. An Internet download grabbed screen space on Internet Explorer and when I went to remove it I clobbered Firefox and have not been able to correctly reinstall it. For a while, Firefox worked without the File Edit View. Any ideas?

update your anti virus and scan the entire computer.
If you are using free anti virus, you may have just found a good reason not to use free anti virus.
You may need to turn off your anti virus when installing firefox, then restart and turn the anti virus back on.
If you have loaded multiple security programs, turn them all off when installing.
You can also do a repair install of the operating system, which does not erase your personal files. See the sixth post down from the top in this forum.

Nothing wrong with free antivirus programs, many of them are as good as anything paid, and better than some.

Start in SafeMode With Networking. Download and install MalwareBytes, run it. Do a Full Scan. If you have spyware, that should clear it up. You may need to run the scan twice to get rid of some things. Run scan, reboot if it asks you to, start in Safe Mode again, run another scan.
