More about turbo boost
  1. Yes that is possible, maybe even on stock voltage
  2. don't think so .. i saw oc at 3.4 with turbo boost off at stock voltage .. so the voltage from 2.66 to 3.4 is reserved for turbo boost
  3. Whaaa???

If you've seen an OC frrom 2.66ghz to 3.4ghz with no voltage increase, then that means that 3.2ghz with turbo is possible.

What do you mean "so the voltage from 2.66 to 3.4 is reserved for turbo boost"??

Anyway the point still stands, it is very possible to OC your core i5 to 3.2Ghz and have Turbo boost enabled, regardless of whether you have to raise the voltage or not.
  4. do you know any1 who did it ?
  5. Well I don't know anyone with a core i5, But i have a core i7 920 (D0) and it can do 3.8ghz with stock voltage, I would have to use alittle additional voltage if i wanted turbo boost on, for it to be stable.

Im pretty sure your core i5 will do 3.2ghz with turbo, if it won't do it with stock voltage then up the voltage alittle. No big deal.

Theres really nothing to worry about.
  6. nah .. i meant did any1 do OC with turbo boost on ?:)
  7. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can have turbo boost on and overclock.

I would have thought that was pretty clear from my last 3 posts >.<
  8. Most people advise against overclocking and using Turbo Boost simultaneously. If that's what every OC'n site/guide on the net recommends... well, I guess it's good enough for me.
