Hi,

I am new here but was hoping to get some help. I realize there have been other threads about this topic, but I have different circumstances.

I have an ASUS P5N-EM motherboard, a 500gb Maxtor HDD and an IDE DVD/CD drive. I have been trying to install the OS, for the first time on this rig, and get the System Disk Boot error. What should I do?

Other
I realize ASUS has EZ Flash but I have no floppy drive.
Also, I can't update BIOS from the OS, because there is no OS (yet)

Thanks for the help

I did, but it still didn't work

This is what I ended up doing, I installed windows 200, it worked from the system boot, so maybe my xp CD is ruined. But, I then went from 200, put the xp cd in and it started. I did a reinstall from there. The only option was to install xp on the same partition. I did this after seeing advice on how to remove other OSs. But I can't remove 2000 NOW.

What should I do?
Also, xp keeps freezing, especially iexplorer. Is it because of the two OSs?
