I have a pentium 4 processor (Prescott) and I was running 4x512MB PC2-3200 RAM. I use Windows XP (32 bit) but I also have an ATI Radeon X600 card that pulls from the system RAM. I recently purchased this:
Crucial 2x2GB DDR2 SDRAM PC2-5300 RAM for $41(includes shipping). I know I'll have some of the extra RAM go to waste, but I had heard that with P4's (800 FSB), if you're going beyond the 1:1 divider, PC2-5300 RAM is the way to go. So, considering my graphics card, have I wasted 40 bucks or will I see some improvement?
Thanks everyone and enjoy the holidays.
