yes you can use ddr2 800. 1066 is the max so if you got higher ram (like 1200 it would have to be downgraded).

are those the only things you are getting or are you doing a new build?

There should be no issues, that being said if you plan to use an older AM2 proc it will only run the RAM at DDR2 800 (even if you buy 1066). But with the Phenom, or Tri-core you would be better off just getting the 1066.

This to the both of you:
I have a GS8500 nvidia card lying around do you think i could use this on the mobo for the SLI? or would I have to use a Radeon since its the on board graphics card to get the SLI/Crossfire?

Short answer no, as this is an AMD chipset and can only use X-Fire (crossfire) so no SLI. Yes you would have to use an ATI product for the multi card solution.

If you plan to OC later drop the Patriot RAM (weak link) and get G.Skill, OCZ, Corsair, or even Geil.

Also get a different cooler (as I don't think that one is rated for the 9950)(wasn't for my 9850)

that xigmatek is a great cooler and yes getting the bracket helps.
+1 to different ram. add mushkin to the list, it is good too.
