Whats the fastest socket 479 CPU for my HP nc8000 notebook laptop

I am trying to find the fastest socket 479 CPU for my HP nc8000 notebook laptop. I am not sure if socket 478 matches and the list listed at http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ProcFam=942 shows a socket type of "Micro-FCPGA" for the 2.26ghz chip. So I am very confused on exactly what my best option is to upgrade the laptop to the fastest CPU, any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

It is a thread where someone managed to upgrade the same model laptop with a Pentium M 765 CPU.
How legit is it? Not sure. But if you want to find out - the chipset used in that model is the Intel 855PM. You can research from there.

According to HPs database, the M775 (2.0gig) is the fastest the notebook will take.
