the 48x0 and 38x0 series have a huge advantage: any two of them (even the X2 models) from any manufacturer can be used together in crossfire. you can still cf the 3670 and 4670, but there's only 1 type in each series. right now, the 48x0 series is expensive, while the 38x0 series is getting cheaper every week.

if you want a cheap, good card, the best choice is the 4670. if you want the best card, it's the 4870 X2. if you want the best price/value, i would go with the 4850.

Well, even in that case, the 4670 is as powerful as the Radeon 3870 in certain games, while the 3650 is well.... Not even as powerful as the Radeon 3850. Still the 4670.

I just bought an HD 4670, the thing runs like a dream. Pretty cheap, I find it pretty quiet (in a full size case with 2 80mm fans), and runs everything I've got very, very well. The 3650 won't game well at all, whereas the 4670 is doing magnificently. Most setting turned up to high or max, AFx16, and AA at 2 or 4, running well above 30 FPS. To note: I have the MSI version, which uses a different fan/heatsink, but it came with a free game (Rainbow 6 Vegas 2) Runs at max settings for me :D (Also gaming at 1440x900).
