My current PC has lasted me for 5 years, but it's starting to not meet the system requirements of games I'd like to play, so I need to upgrade somehow.
I'm considering building a PC for the first time, and I was hoping to get some feedback from some more experienced people. Basically, I'm looking to build a pretty good PC for gaming without getting real high end and expensive, though there is no particular budget limit. Here are the components I'm considering:
Not really knowing where to start, I've based my choices on the guide below, reviews on Newegg, and articles and builds I've seen here on Tom's Hardware.
The PSU you chose is very good. But for the same price ($100) you could get the SILVERSTONE SST-ST60F 600W or the Antec EA650 650W and with either of them you wouldn't have to wait for a MIR (although they both have ~$10 shipping too). There's also the PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W and the CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W both for only $90 (after MIR and w/ free shipping), but neither is modular if that's something you want. With a single HD4850, 520W should be enough but it never hurts to have a bit more than you need because it'll have a better chance of surviving future upgrades/rebuilds.
