well, it would seem i have two problems

1. pc will restart itself, with no warning, for no reason

2. pc will freeze, showing a bunch of blurry, orange and brown blurry horizontal lines

pc specs:

psu: XION Supernova XON-600F14R-201 600W ATX12V
mobo: MSI DKA790GX Platinum
cpu: AMD Phenom 8450
ram: OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
OS: Vista 64 bit home basic

now, it doesnt always restart itself or freeze, it seems very random, ive been able to use it nontstop for 3+ hours as of now, but just last night, it froze 3+ times in a matter of an hour, and before that it restarted itself 2 times in an hour...any ideas? work your magic :)

Chizzorock, what graphics card are you using? Could be a heat issue or bad drivers somewhere.

im using the integrated 3300 graphics

the pc has been running fine for about 15 hours now, no phantom restarts, no hanging or errors, even played a little cs:s.

i went through the build again to make sure everything looked right to me, and i noticed i had put my ram in slots 2 & 3, instead of 0 & 1, like it said in the manual, so i changed that...maybe that was the problem?

i also un-installed dual core center, because the one time i used it, my pc froze and i had to restart it, and it was a startup program, maybe that was the issue? who knows... :P
