My video screen just comes up black? help?

i am over 50, pretty far over 50 so take that into consideration when helping me please. I go to fox news and click on news videos and suddenly they all come up as a black screen. I've turned off the computer and turned it back on but nothing changed. You do get that I needed help to know how to turn off my computer........

There is a few reasons the video screen may stay black but I would try the most common ones first;

1. place your mouse over the black box and on the bottom left make sure you see a triangle, not to bars like II, if you see the bars it means the video is paused so just click on the bars to start the video.

2.You may need to update Java, to do this just click on the link and press the 'Free Java Download' button and follow the on screen instructions.

Other videos play OK on the internet?
