hey whats up. i just bought XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog and i have a dell dimension 8400pentium 4 with 3.20ghz with a acer lcd model AL1914. alot of times out of nowhere my screen will just turn black, blue, pink, purple, whatever. do i need a new lcd? how do i fix it?

check the temps on the card to make sure they are acceptable.

then, get rid of any old drivers, and install brand new, fresh drivers from NVidia.

if it still doesn't work, then take the LCD to a different computer and see if it does it there. if not, RMA the video card.

Most likely your Dell doesn't have a big enough PSU.
