[CPU] Improve computer

Hi everyone

I need to improve my computer to work on video and web page edition. The specs are Intel Pentium e5400, motherboard Intel G31, 2gb ram memory ddr2 and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 (1024 MB).

I just want to know which could be a good memory ram.

You could possibly upgarde the processor to a core 2 duo/core 2 quad depending on your motherboard supporting it. As for ddr2 ram, you can find that anywhere. Unfortuenatly, it is more expensive than ddr3 and much slower. Another 2gb should be fine!

The current processor is a dual core already, it would be good if is able to upgrade to a quad, I was looking on google but not able to find any option.

Also, for the ram memory, comes with a Kingston PC2-6400 400 mhz, but I was looking for options and found this one:

It's not certain all G31 motherboards will take quad core upgrades.
Do you know the exact model your motherboard?

CPU-z can help you figure that out. http://www.cpuid.com/cpu-z.html
Details should be on the Mainboard tab. List the current BIOS version as well.
