i am doing my first, home built pc.. just bought an asus board which has a 24 pin main power connector, i have an older psu that is a 20 pin,, will this 20 pin work or will i half to buy a new psu?????? any one know what the extra 4 pins are used for????

Motherboards for single core processors ran off of 20 pins.
Dualcores normally require 24pins plus a separate 4 pin which I believes fuels the Ram.

You will definatelly need a new PSU.

E7200 just came out just a few months ago. Like...7.

Anyways, it should work. I think those extra 4 pins are for power phases on the motherboard.
