Water cooling help - Koolance

Last response: in Overclocking

Hello.

So back in July 2005, I built a beast of a machine complete with the Koolance integrated case PC3-720SL. I love that water cooling system, and always praise it when the opportunity presents itself. However, 2 years ago the pump failed and my poor beast of a machine has not known life since. I did not address it initially because the lack of distraction allowed me to focus on my classes, and more recently it has been a financial issue.

What I would like to know is if I can fix the pump myself or if I need a replacement. If I do need a replacement, which one do I need? And also, what is the proper procedure for replacement?

Thanks,
Ryan

Your best bet is ask Koolance themselves. Maybe there is a replacement pump or parts. I figure your going to have to buy a new pump.

I suggest you don't buy Koolance. Look at the DD-CPX-Pro 12V Pump, I wouldn't go with anything less. its good stuff, not top notch but a good pump.

And have a read if you haven't already about watercooling.

^+10 (can you do that?)

Seriously, though, there are reasons much of Koolance isn't even regarded in a serious sense. Some of their GPU blocks are decent, but have been very hit/miss in all all regards, esp performance/price vs. quality gear.
