Windows 7 constant HDD activity Tags: Hard Drives Windows 7 Desktops Storage Last response: February 7, 2010 4:14 PM in Storage Share N.Broekhuijsen February 7, 2010 4:13:24 PM Since I've been using windows 7 on both my systems (Eee PC 1005HAP), and desktop I've noticed that there is a constant amount of hard drive activity. I don't know what it is doing, and have disabled automatic defragging etc. Desktop does not really worry me at all, but I'm afraid that on the go it is definitely killing my battery life..... any ideas on how to solve this? More about : windows constant hdd activity N.Broekhuijsen February 7, 2010 4:14:14 PM btw, it appears that it only does this when im not using the system, (noticed on lappy since it has a noisy HDD) maybe it is some sort of idle process.
