I was thinking of buying a second graphics card to set up an SLI to get more kick when playing graphically intensive games.

My current card is a EVGA 512-P3-N802-A1 8800GT that I bought last December.

Unfortunately this card is very hard to find now.

I did find an extremely similar card, the EVGA 512-P3-N802-AR 8800GT

Both are 512 mb, PCI Express X16 and as you can see, there's only one letter off in the part number and all the specs listed on newegg are equal. Would my performance take a hit if I were to SLI two cards that were this similar but not exactly the same?

You should have no problems SLIng those two cards.
