I just wanted to know if anyone could help me find out if its possible to upgrade my PC from a Pentium 4 processor to a core duo processor. My specific model is a Compaq Presario 6000T. Thanks for any help, I am new to building computers so if it seems like I don't know what I'm talking about its because I don't.

Sorry - your Compaq Presario 6000T has an Intel 845 motherboard with socket 478. All C2D CPUs are socket 775.
