Need some DDR2 ram

hey, i am currently running 1GB DDR2 at 533MHz on a Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2, and i was thinking of upgrading ram

i have been told that i can run up to 800MHz, but to run dual channel, I have to be running 533 or 667

my question is this, first, if i bought 1GB of 800 and put it in, would it be able to run with my current ram just at a lower speed, and second, if it is running slower, would it then be able to run in dual channel?

You can have a maximum of 1 gig in each slot .

Yes using 800mhz ram will be fine , it will just run at 667 if its in dual channel .

No , you cant just add one more stick . You will have to buy a 2 x 1 gig dual channel kit

[ and because someone is going to tell you to buy a 4 gig kit with 2 x2 ... dont . It wont work in that mb ]
