Hello there,
I have a lacie external hard drive and it fell off my desk,now it won't work all i get is a quite noise and wont show on my computer is it hooped or can i fix it

It may have had a head crash. Any second the HDD is powered on, it may increase damage. If the data on it is truely important, you should disconnect all power now and store it in a safe place until it can be worked on by dedicated technicians in a cleanroom, this costs at least $1000.

If you don't need the data on the drive because you have backups; simply return for warranty.

yea, like sub mesa said, the drive is basically toast, Hard drives are delicate, I had an external drive get knocked off a table 1 foot from the ground and it was toast.
