Hey
Ive built a lot of computers, but had very little experience in the budget sector of pcs. A friend wants a budget pc, for media and a bit of gaming, budget of around 300 quid ($600).
Has anyone got any suggestions?
So far I was thinking:
E5200
ATI 3850
EVGA 650I ultra (cheap, and he wont be crossfiring anyway, found it for 40 quid new)

Thanks

You're on the right track, the E5200 looks sweet for budget builds, same for the 3850/9600GSO, cheap motherboard, you might check out the P31/35 or the G31/33/35 some can be had very cheap. I'd set it up with a conservative and stable overclock.
