I just realized what you were asking for. Look for a very small switch on the side of your media or as you silde the midia in it will pop up then you slide it. 

there is usually a little square tab you can flick down to cover the hole on the stiffy bra

When it is missing I use tape  



...being more serious, I think a little more info may help us help you - such as what media you are talking about and what drive you are using with it.
