You should answer this questions first. Is the system overclocked?

If not then adding another pair of 2gig PC5300 will be fine. Save up till you are ready for a new motherboard, which will almost certainly require new memory.

Buying DDR2 800mhz now, may not help when you get a new motherboard, because by then you may op for faster DDR2 1066mhz or even DDR3.

Your Member Configuration shows you have this system:

q6600,p5b wifi deluxe ,2gb (2*1gb kingston value ram)nvidia 8800 gts 640mb

You would probably see a difference with the 800Mhz memory. The big question though I'd have, is whether you're running Windows XP 64bit, or Vista 64bit.

If you're running Vista 64, you'd see a huge difference going from 2GB of RAM to 4GB of RAM. Vista REALLY likes having extra physical RAM available.

You can get 800Mhz RAM pretty dang cheap these days. I've seen weekend sales (online) as low as $10 for 2x2GB DDR2 800 recently. Can probably score 2x2GB chips for $40 though pretty easily.
