If you need these then there is a very good chance your PSU is not able to power the graphics card.

 

What is your PSU model and what are your PC specs?

I cant use the convertors as XFX specifically state not to use them. I'm going from a 8800GTX to a 650W Tagan power supply but i'll be damned if i can find anywhere which sell the 6pin PCIe to 5pin power leads to do this

What are 5 pin power leads?

The molex to pcie6pin should work fine.
