Just built this pc.im qued up in line for a download at fileplanet and when it idles at night my computer shuts down after a hour into it. are there settings sumwhere to fix this? and i downloaded the newest bios for asus rampage formula its 0410,my question is does it matter which bios u download? is downloading the newest one bad? thanks
Intel 8500 cpu
Asus Rampage formula
Reaper Mem pc26400 4G
(2) sapphire 4850 cards
Antec 1200 Case
Antec 850w ps
Vista home prem 64 bit.

Did it shut down or just go to sleep?

 

Check your power settings to make sure its not going to sleep/hibernate(hybrid sleep)

 

Only update the bios if you have a problem that is listed to be fixed in it. The newest non beta bios would be best, but never flash in windows.

Oh I like the Antec 1200 case good choice.
Only bios flash it you need it to fix a problem.
With he newer board able to flash from a thumb drive, that the way I do it.
Disable all the power saving features of both the os and the bios.
