I have a Dell Latitude D820 onwhich I have used wireless for 2 years with a Netgear router. One day the wireless stopped working. After reinstalling the router, the connection states "excellent" and the signal strength appears strong, and the router is listed available in the "wireless connections" window. However, when I open my browser it never connects. When I reboot connecting solely through my modem I can connect. I have tried out a new router, exactly the same problems - shows connection and excellent signal but never loads a webpage. Any suggestions?

Is the router being assigned an WAN side IP address?
What about DNS IP addresses?
