:sol: I have a Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.8ghz, 4gb Ram, and 512mb Geforce 8800 GT

I used to have 2gb of ram in my system and when i went to system requirements lab it marked my 8800 gt video card as 1gb.

Later i upgraded my system ram to 4gb and when i went to the website again it marked my video card as 2.2gb.

How does this Work? Is my system Ram proportional to my video card ram?

please don't tell me just its wrong, but tell me why.

RAM has nothing to do with video RAM of a discrete card.
You RAM should be recognized as 3.5-3.7 if you have a 32-bit system, 4 GB if you have a 64-bit system.
The video RAM of the video card does not change unless you buy a new card.

Vista shares some of the system ram with the gfx card. It's almost like turbocache.

Use Everest, HWInfo or other software rather than that site.
