but cant freaking decide on a motherboard i looked at the Asus P5Q - $129.99, but it just has one pci 2.0, i will like the option of sling my gtx some day if i need to, i saw the 780i line all crossing $230 wich dont fit on my budget, i though i could upgrade my pc with 600 guess i need more, but maybeu guys can give idea of a good board withing a good price....??
When trying to keep a low budget, Crossfire/SLI is rarely a good option, you would sacrifice performance now to be able to keep a system afloat maybe 1 more year (by then even that might be useless). I try to remind people that costed 600$+ less than 1.5 year ago are now being beaten by 250-300$ card; they might have well spend 300$ then and another 300$ to get similar or even better results.
I say put your money on a 4850 or 4870 and if you need more, just get a bargained 4870x2 or another mid-range GPU that will be equally good in a year.

i dont know about changing my idea about going with nvidia, but i do agree that 1 sigle good gpu is better option, i knew that b4 i came to the this forum, however I'am not rich and i cant change to a 300 dollar video card every 3 years thats why i prefere a good car like 9800gtx wich is slitly cheaper than the 4850 rite now, because u can play crysis in high settings with 4xaa, wich is perfect for me, if someday soemthing happen like crysis 2 comes out and i feel out dated i will just get another one that by then will be cheaper and sli, thats what its mean to look into the future and make ur ring last if i buy the best 500 dollar card, it will be of course like anything else outperformed by something new
