I just bought the OCZ 12GB kit and failing to get it to run even at 1140MHz.
The ram kit is rated at 1600.

IntelBurnTest is failing with these settings.
It passes FFT in prime95, so its the fault of the memory or memory controller in the CPU.
I think it could be my voltages.

Here are my settings

How far can you get it with relaxed timing like 9-9-9-31? Sometimes a single timing can change the stability for unknown reasons. For example. my RAM (DDR2) runs just fine at 4-5-4-15 but fails within seconds with 4-4-4-15.

Try dropping the BCLK a little and try some of the other advice which as been given. BCLK seems to be affected when all DIMMs are populated. I just ordered another 6GB of RAM for my system so we'll see how my motherboard fares with the additional electrical load.

It appears like most any other motherboard I have ever seen, the i7 platforms are still the same. When you populate all the slots, you have to slow down your memory a little to get it all to work correctly. Take heart though, you won't ever notice the difference if you drop your memory timings a little. Memory speed (a couple of notches in timings, or a few mhz difference, like 1333 to 1600) is never enough to make a noticeable difference.

If you're using the OCZ gold 6gb, it's not compatible with the asrock x58 extreme. I'm using the same and the only thing I can get do to get it stable (no freezes) at 3.6 ghz is set the ram frequency to lowest possible (2:6). I'm still looking for a solution though.
