The video card will be badly bottlenecked by the CPU. You should just downgrade to an 8800GT because you will not see much performance difference... and I'm not sure that PSU would be up to the 9800GTX+ anyway.

Spend the money you save on a Phenom.

im not sure what board processor combo to get now though i dont think i want phenom, or would it be worth it?

i could afford this but idk if its worth it.
