LSI RAID, Hot Plug, Hot Spares

I never bump into a problem when RAID and Hot Spare are needed, I hope someone can give me enlightenment what will happen if this happened. I setup an Integrated Mirroring with 2 + 1 (hot spares) HD SAS. And let say main HD fail and the other one will automatically take control all the application, will the hot spares become the raid? so the IM will be the one from mirrored HD and Hot Spares? And the main HD contain all the important application:OSes, web server, etc. What will happen to those services? Do I need to restart?

If one drive fails the hot spare will take over until the failed drive is replaced. The hot spare drive will then go back to "stand-by" status.
