Plz save him COME BACK

The Coolmax is a horrible unit
Its really a 600 Watt PSU that they made into a 950. It has horrible regulation, efficiency and ripple, all of which will most likely will damage ur computer. It has nearly a 1V ripple which WILL damage something....
First for $170 do u rly need a 1000Watt
Post ur build. Always Quality is more important than quantity.

I was a post too late...plz i cant lose him to a bad psu...

a good quality 500-600W unit will work just fine, no need for 1kW unit for that kind of rig. If you plan to get another 4870 for crossfire, then around 600-700W would be good enough

ok thx i just didnt want any thing straing to get power

Reply to golden_inferno

i7 920's require no more power than current 45nm quads (dispite the TDP rating)

As Kari suggested 500-600w is sufficient for your build

Personally i would get this one (ive already got one for my machine) Corsair rock solid and modular.
