WD External Hard Drive

Drive is making the dreaded three clicking sounds and stops spinning. Can't see it on my computer either. I tried putting it the freezer for 24 hours but that didn't seem to work. What else can I try so that I can retrieve the information on the dirve?

wtf?? put it in the freezer, for what ?/ do you want your HD get freez and break LOL ....

anyway you can try data restoring compnies , the good ones doesnt charge you unless data is restored ......

but first take it to the store you bought from and ask for repair if there anything

Dude, whoever told you to put it in the freezer was trolling you. If your HD had any chance of recovery before you put it in the freezer, it doesn't now.

Like the other guy said, your only chance now is to go to a professional data recovery company, but I wouldn't pay up front because it's a pretty slim chance they will be able to get anything off it. If there's not much on there you care about, save up and buy another one.
