hi, i was wondering if my Ultra X-Finity 600-Watt Power Supply power supply will be strong enough for new setup, which will consist of this:
-an o/c q6600 (with a gigabyte ud3p mobo)
-4 or 5 120mm fans
-2 uv lights
-cpu cooling fan
-gtx 260
-2 SATA Hard drives, (1 500gb, 1 TB)
-1 disk drive
-4gb or 8gb of G.Skill RAM

heres the link for the psu:

currently the psu is handling 3 fans, 1 cold cathode light, my unknown cpu cooler that works very very well, my o/c 8500 gt BEAST hehe, 2 gb RAM my asus p5n32-e sli mobo, 1 sata hard drive, it handled my other hard rive as well but isnt in my pc now, i disk drive and some thing in my 3.5" drive bay

Since it looks like you're building a whole new computer you might as well pick up a new PSU, that way you reduce the chances of coming to the end of your current supply's life where its' output isn't as high as it should be, resulting in crashes.

I'd suggest a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750, it'd give you some headroom for future upgrades and last as long as any of your other components.

^+1 for more headroom. Even though your PSU is big enough with only 67 watts left over it is going to have to work hard to keep up and you will have more fan noise from it with the fan trying to keep it cool. I would go with a 750w either PCP&C, Corsair, or Antec.

well the only problem now is money haha, i need a new case for my pc (the one i am using now is broken, no side panel and one of the back supports is broke so its likes to fall down if an ant touches it), so its between a case or a psu, tough call....i will go check out some psu's for under 100 that all the money i got

sounds like a plan but remember, dont go cheap on PSUs. spending money on one is very serious becuase if something goes wrongg with it, your hole system might just die...

make sure you pic a name brand and research it before buying;)

its cheap, nobody seems to mention ultra when it comes to power supplys but this seems to be a too good to be true kinda deal.

Ultra aren't really mentioned for a reason. You're best off going for Corsair, Antec, or PC Power & Cooling. PSU is one thing you never want to cheap out on.

+1 to poster above.
Corsair and antec are excelant brands for power supplys. you might even want to consider Thermaltake ToughPower. those are good quality:)

Of the three I trust PC P&C the most. The 610W Silencer is more than enough for you, even if you add a second GTX260.

heres the problem. i really dont wanna spend an extra 89.99 for an extra 10w yes i know its a much better psu, i want like 700w+ to be more than enough, but hey i might end up buying the 610w silencer, but there will be no second gtx 260, since that would require another 200 dollars on a mobo with an nvidia chipset...im staying away from that..
also, i will be buying a PC P&C PSU just not sure which one, i have eliminated the other two (corsair, antec)

i dont know.. if it were me id probably go with the corsair. theyre very sturdy PSUs. but dont be fooled by the price of the antec, Truepower is nice=]

well corsiar is still on the list but im leaning towards the PC P&C 610 silencer since its around $80. the cheaper the psu the better chance i have of getting it, im looking for a bang for my buck kinda deal. and the antecs price shot way up i guess it was on sale, funny thing, i looked at the PC P&C 610, and i checked it an hour late and the price went up to 99.99 so im going to pay the extra 20 now and buy the corsair, thanks for the help everyone :)
