Hey everyone I recently upgrade my system a litle bit and this is my rig so far

HAF 932 case

Asus p5k se motherboard

Intel core 2 duo
e6750 overclocked at 3.2GHz

Evga 9600 gt

4gb ddr2 ram

250 gb hard drive

Corsair 750Watts PSU

Now I was thinking of moving to a better video card I game at 1680x1050 So I don't need to fork over cash for a overkill card like the 4870x2 or the gtx 280 I was thinking the 4870 1gb card would be great for adding AA in games and kind of future proof in a way for a little while at lest and I am going to get 64 bit version of vista to utilize my 4gb of ram and also I was thinking of getting another hard drive

Id love to hear opinions thanks

Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders as far as upgrading goes, actually throwing around some ideas. It's a nice change from 'what upgrad i buy 2 mak gamez betr?!!?!?1!/1/!?!?!'

Anyway, at 1680x1050 even a 1GB 4850 would serve you brilliantly, if price is a small issue. If it isn't, the 4870 is the way to go. It offers the best bang-for-buck I've seen in quite a while.

As for other upgrades: Hard drives are relatively cheap for rather large capacities, a 500GB wouldn't set you back much, of course it's up to how much you think you need.

Final note: if you're thinking of getting Vista 64-bit, why not look at another 4GB RAM? If you have the spare slots in your motherboard (ie you've gone 2x 2GB sticks in your current configuration) there's no major reason not to. DDR2-800 is cheap, and it's a nice little boost. Overkill, but hey, that's what we comp enthusiasts are all about ;)

I would have to read from going to nvdia to installing ati card cleaning all the divers out and stuff
