Toshiba bluetooth does not appear in connections for palm 650

I have the Toshiba P505D-S8935 (Windows Vista) and it has bluetooth which I believe I have enabled.

I have a Palm Treo 650 and I have been using hot sync on my XP machine for years.

I installed the newest version of the Palm software on the Toshiba and the driver fails to install.

I have tried setting up the bluetooth hot sync on my palm with no success.

When I check for devices on my palm my toshiba does not appear. I have enable bluetooth on the palm & also "discoverable"

I have checked for the ip address.

I have tried setting up "custom" in the palm and that doesn't work. I guess I could go on and on about what I have tried but all has failed.

I have opened clicked on the hot sync icon that appears on my computer,gone into settings, the connections and bluetooth is not an option. I only see USB, Network and Serial. I have tried all three.

On the install button I see Carrier Profiles and Network profiles. Under file installation I have clicked "click here to install"...nothing.

I have done even more than I have described in this email but to no avail.
